Talk With Thrive About Wyoming Scholarship Funding
What Is the Steamboat Legacy Scholarship?
The Steamboat Legacy Scholarship is Wyoming’s education savings account, or ESA, program. Families use an approved account to pay for qualifying educational services and materials.
Eligible expenses include participating school tuition, curriculum, tutoring, educational technology, and nongovernmental online learning programs. Purchases must meet the program’s requirements. See the state’s Wyoming ESA information and allowable expenses.
Who Is Eligible for Wyoming’s ESA Program?
K–12 eligibility is open regardless of household income. Students must meet the program’s residency, age, and enrollment requirements, including:
- Living in Wyoming.
- Meeting kindergarten entry requirements, when applicable.
- Being younger than 21 on August 1 of the application year.
- Not having graduated from high school or earned a GED or equivalent.
- Not being enrolled in public school while participating, although individual public school classes may be contracted separately.
Families must also provide required documentation and comply with the parent agreement. Participating K–12 students must receive instruction in required subjects and complete an annual qualifying assessment.
The program has separate rules for prekindergarten, including an income limit. Thrive serves kindergarten through 12th grade.
Review the Wyoming ESA Family Handbook for complete eligibility and participation requirements.

Christian Online Learning With Support for Your Family
Choosing a school involves more than finding an eligible place to use scholarship funds. You want to understand how your child will learn and what help your family will receive.
Thrive’s online Christian homeschool program combines learning from home with curriculum, grading, academic structure, and a Christian school community.
Students can benefit from:
- Christ-centered curriculum for kindergarten through high school.
- Flexible scheduling with clear academic expectations.
- Personalized academic placement.
- Grading and progress monitoring.
- Options for direct, one-on-one teacher support.
The amount of live teacher support depends on the tuition plan selected. Our team can help you compare those options based on your child’s independence and learning needs.
How Much of Thrive’s Tuition Could the Scholarship Cover?
The amount your family pays depends on your selected program, approved funding, and applicable fees.
Thrive currently lists annual tuition plans of $4,000, $6,000, $8,000, and $10,000 before any applicable pay-in-full discount. Application and enrollment fees are additional. Review our current tuition, fees, and payment options.
A $7,000 scholarship may cover the tuition portion of a lower-cost plan or contribute toward a plan with more teacher support. Ask our team for an itemized cost review before deciding.
Scholarship disbursements and tuition due dates may differ, so discuss payment timing with Thrive before committing to a payment arrangement.

Yes. Wyoming’s program supports qualifying home-based education expenses. Participating families must follow ESA requirements, including instruction and assessment obligations. See the family handbook.
Does enrolling at Thrive automatically qualify my child for funding?
